Zapdramatic was founded in 2000 by filmmaker Michael Gibson and negotiation experts Allan Stitt and Frank Handy.

 

Zapdramatic produces serious games and simulations for entertainment and life skills development with a focus on Negotiation, Dispute Resolution and Ethics. Recent productions range from a University Certificate on-line course on Negotiation to the on-line murder mystery game, Ambition which has attracted hundreds of thousands of users world-wide.

 

Zapdramatic won the Excellence in Learning category at the Canadian New Media Awards and the Vortex Prize in New Media at the McLuhan International Festival of the Future. Michael Gibson has presented talks on Serious Games at numerous conferences including the Serious Games Summit in Washington DC.

A story-based adventure game that reveals the dynamics of school yard bullying and empowers the user with techniques to build self-confidence and persuasive power so as not to be either target nor an enabler of the bully.

The Professionalism and Ethics Simulation

Winner of the Excellence in Learning Canadian New Media Award, the Professionalism and Ethics Simulation demonstrates how seemingly innocuous bad habits and tendencies can snowball into catastrophic consequences.

 



The Online Negotiation Course

Teaches the principles of the Harvard book "Getting to Yes" through simulated negotiations with challenging animated characters.

 

 

 

 

 



Move or Die

Featuring the voice of Jackie Burroughs and the music of Danny Michel is a role-playing game where the user advises a pair of ethically challenged siblings on a dark road trip from Moncton to Montreal.

 



Ambition

A ten part murder-mystery game in which the User plays the role of forensic psychologist, police detective and criminal lawyer.
