OMDC Interactive Digital Media Fund - Call for Applications

Ontario Media Development Corporation (OMDC) has announced a new deadline for the OMDC Interactive Digital Media (IDM) Fund.
 
The OMDC IDM Fund is designed to provide Ontario interactive digital media content companies with access to the final piece of funding required to move their content projects into production. Successful applicants will receive a non-refundable contribution of up to $150,000 to a maximum of 50% of the project budget to create a market-ready interactive digital media content product.
 
It is anticipated that the OMDC IDM Fund will support projects from a range of genres, delivery platforms and budgets. Consideration will be given to the cultural and industrial benefits of each project. In assessing the economic impact of a project, OMDC will take into account immediate results including Ontario job creation and retention and level of Ontario expenditures. Long term results such as the potential for commercial exploitation will also be a factor.
 
APPLICATION PROCESS
All applications must be submitted electronically through the Online Application Portal (OAP). Interested applicants must register their company’s corporate information at https://apply.omdc.on.ca/ prior to commencing an application. For technical assistance with registration or the application process send an email to applyhelp@omdc.on.ca. Applicants are encouraged to commence the application process well in advance of the deadline in case technical support is required.

Date:  June 26, 2012
Time:  2:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Note: Access to this information session is limited. Priority will be given to persons with accessibility challenges, and registrants outside of the GTA. Online information session participants will receive an invitation via email with a link and password to login and will be able to call in via conference call during the session.
 
Registration will close at 5:00 pm on the day prior to each information session.  Unregistered guests will only be accepted if space permits.
 
If you are interested in attending an information session but require it be conducted in French please send a request to programs@omdc.on.ca by June 29, 2012 and arrangements will be made to schedule the session on an alternate date.
