QuickPlay Expands U.S. Footprint with Purchase of Select FLO TV Assets

QuickPlay Media, Inc., the leading provider of solutions for the distribution of premium video to portable wireless devices, today announced it will acquire a variety of network operations center assets of FLO TV Incorporated, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, further expanding its U.S. presence. As a result of the acquisition, QuickPlay will take over FLO TV's 30,000-square-foot data and network operations center in San Diego, and will use the facility to manage the capture and distribution of both live and on-demand content for a broad range of IP-enabled devices.
