Descriptionmarblemedia is a Toronto-based next generation content creation company dedicated to telling stories in television, web and mobile. Past projects include; This is Daniel Cook, This is Emily Yeung, The Adrenaline Project, Dating Guy, The Art of Seduction, Burnt Toast, and deafplanet.com. Position:Manager of Communications In this newly created full time position, the successful candidate will work directly with the Partners and the Interactive team. Some of your major responsibilities include: • Plan, develop, budget and execute the company’s communications, promotion and publicity strategy. • Write and create press releases for corporate initiatives and distribute to trade and consumer media outlets on a regular basis. • Proactively liaise with media outlets to arrange stories and interviews. • Plan and strategize methods to increase audience to television and interactive properties, work with production teams to implement plans. • Lead and manage the content updates of the company’s corporate website. • Manage content on YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and other social network sites. • Manage photo selection and archiving of still images and all related materials including one-sheets, plus maintain brand style guides. • Write marketing strategy proposals for marblemedia brands (to be presented to agencies, broadcasters, and clients). • Write marketing reports for funding partners and agencies evaluating intended goals and outcome of a project.
Qualifications• Bachelor’s degree (or related College equivalent) in communications, journalism, PR, marketing or Broadcasting • Stellar writing skills, exceptional persuasive verbal communication and presentation skills, and a demonstrated ability to be a strong listener. • Must understand the Broadcasting, Production and Interactive businesses. • Minimum 3-5 years extensive corporate communications experience, including both traditional (TV) and non-traditional communications and media. • Proven understanding of interactive marketing including web analytics. • A passionate consumer champion attuned to brand positioning, building and guardianship; pushing brand portfolio to its limits. • Knowledge and experience in PowerPoint, Photoshop, Word, Excel, and digital video.
