Programming for Interactivity is designed to acquaint the learner with the
fundamentals of proficient programming and database systems as they apply to
interactive digital media. Learners will examine common methodologies used to
solve current programming challenges and practice developing a structured
approach to creative problem solving. Emphasis will be on developing a thorough
familiarity with the fundamental elements central to all programming, working
with stored data, and solving problems using a structured analytical approach.
The course will use XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySql and XML. Primary Duties: - Implementing and providing daily feedback and observations relating to the curriculum through assignments and course activity. - Ensuring that the learning outcomes of the course are conveyed to the students effectively and in a timely manner - Ensuring that the course supports Essential Employability Skills as defined by the various programs in the School of Communications, Media and Design. |
| Qualifications | Degree or Diploma in one or more areas of Computer Science, Web development, Interactive Digital Media or a related field. Minimum three years field experience in one or more areas of Computer Science, Web development, Interactive Digital Media or a related field. Proficiency in XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySql and XML. Demonstrated knowledge of multi-platform content delivery - Demonstrated teaching skills - Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills - Proven flexibility, cooperation and willingness to share ideas and information to enhance team building with staff. - Experience, knowledge and understanding of diversity - Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills. |
