Sarah Baird joined Interactive Ontario (io) in 2005 as the organization's first full-time employee.  Since that time io has grown over 150% now representing over 250 member companies and a maintains a team of 8 full-time staff. 
 
Sarah's role is at the organization is the design and implementation of all IO programmes, and working with IO's member base to ensure outcomes that are of benefit to member companies and the interactive digital media industry at large.
 
Over the past five years Sarah has overseen the programming and logistics for all IO's efforts.  In this time IO has successfully hosted over 700 speakers at over 75 events ranging in size from industry networking events
to multi-day/multi-stream conference such as IN (www.inexchange09.com).
 
Sarah has been in the media industry since 1997.  Spending seven years with the leading boutique film & television production company Rhombus Media, and later in its distribution arm Rhombus International, handling domestic and international sales.

Jonathan Carrigan
Product Development Manager

Originally from Montreal, Jonathan has been living and working in Vancouver since 1995, where he leads product development and strategy for the CBC in the areas of mobile, digital audio/video and advertising. These days Jonathan spends a lot of his time studying the mobile media space, with particular interest in new and emerging business models. He has an MBA from Simon Fraser University, specializing in Technology Management. Prior to joining CBC Jonathan spent 8 years as a New Media Producer. No matter what he does, Jonathan has a good time doing it and encourages everyone to do the same.  It’s easy if you love what you do.

Sebastien Chorney
Interactive Media Producer

Sebastien is an interactive media producer working at the intersection of narrative, technology and social change. Recent projects include an interactive atlas of contemporary Aboriginal artists and an e-learning
platform to teach cultural awareness to immigrant professionals. Previously, he cofounded an interactive media consultancy that worked with content producers to extend TV shows onto the then-nascent platform of podcasting.

He also runs a marketing translation business, adapting marketing and advertising to the French-Canadian market for some of the world's biggest brands and their agencies. He is acting chair of Interactive Ontario’s mobile committee.

Tom is a Futurist, product designer, McLuhanist and sometimes snarky technology pundit, living in the great city of Toronto.

He is also a well-known technology blogger and public speaker. His commentary and advocacy on issues surrounding the Canadian tech and wireless industries have appeared in publications including: The National Post, The Globe & Mail, Ottawa Citizen, IT World Canada, Hamilton spectator among others.
