MEIC Mobile App Camp

Grab your mobile skills and come camping August 24 to 26, 2012 at the Mobile Experience Innovation Centre’s Mobile App Camp!

MEIC, Rogers Media, Corus Entertainment, and Microsoft Canada have joined forces to create this inaugural event to be held at Corus’s iconic Toronto waterfront location. Mobile App Camp will provide unique, exciting new business opportunities for mobile developers, designers, project managers and producers (a.k.a. campers).

During the course of the weekend, campers will form multi-disciplinary teams, brainstorm new product ideas based on Rogers Media or Corus Entertainment properties, be supported by mentors (a.k.a. camp counsellors), and have onsite technical support for developing on the Windows platform provided by Microsoft Canada. This is an amazing opportunity to work with your friends, colleagues, and major players in the mobile app industry.

At the end of the weekend, your team will demonstrate its prototype, pitch your business proposal to the panel of sponsors--including Rogers Media, Corus Entertainment, and Microsoft Canada--and the best of the best will be offered deals to commercialize their projects and opportunities to win prizes!

Those interested in attending Mobile App Camp first need to fill out the online application. Once you are an approved camper, you will be provided with all the information you need to register via email. There is a $50 per person fee. Full-time students are eligible for a 50% discount ($25). Valid identification will be required at the door.
