About GIG
Ontario schools produce great talent, and our industry provides great opportunities. The purpose of IO's go into games (GIG) series is to help build relationships between Ontario's education system and video gaming industry by bringing industry professionals into classrooms across Ontario.
GIG will provide students who are studying video game development and related courses an opportunity to connect with professionals currently working in the field.GIG also allows business leaders to form relationships with students who will become their future employees and educates students about the types of employment opportunities that exist
Nathon Gunn
Nathon helped launch MuchMusic Interactive and co-founded Miramax New Media. His 20+ games have had over 250-million players, including the recent and successful StormHawks Squadron (30m plays in a few months) and Storm Hawks 3D MMO (30,000 members in a couple months). His new company is creating games 3.0 – a patent pending system of casual games that work on any device through social networks and web distribution.Bitcasters:
Bitcasters was started in 1996 by Duane Wall and Nathon Gunn.
Since then the company has created numerous award winning technologies, music videos, albums, books and games.
Bitcasters has also helped world-leaders like the former Prime Minister of Canada and various major international entertainment companies like Universal and Miramax to develop and implement their digital media strategies.
